New Music of the Day : LXXV – Silence – The Migrant

10561676_10153424400768711_4410236160095746403_nAnyone who reads this site regularly will know that this track is so far  up street that it could not only live there but do so rent free in my spare bedroom without hearing me complain once. Hazy, dreamy, psychedelia spliced with folk-pop, cinematic wooziness with lazy vocal harmonies that hint at a sonorous Americana template, albeit one that disappeared off the map in the late sixties and only just surfaced in that place between sleeping and the moment of awakening.

After releasing two previous albums under the moniker The Migrant, Bjarke Bendtsen now proves that he has lost none of his appeal with forthcoming album The Flood and takes his place at the right hand of Mercury Rev.
